Naomi Ellis

Hello! I am a Ph.D. candidate in political theory at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a visiting fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, The University of Tokyo.

My research lies at the intersection of democratic theory, war and peace studies, and postwar Japanese political thought.

From 2022 to 2023, I served as an assistant editor for the journal Political Theory.

My work has appeared in Polity, is forthcoming in Contemporary Political Theory, and is under revision at Political Theory.
